Hans Rosenström has transported ice from Folgefonna glacier in Hardanger for his art project in the nitrogen plant at Odda Smelteverk. Layer upon layer of snow and high pressure have created the ice over centuries. Rosenström is interested in how all events create changes. How we are affected by everything around us and how our actions, great or small, affect our surroundings. Above all, A Part and the Whole is about small fragments that are part of a greater context.

Rosenström works with installations and interventions where he constructs situations and spatial experiences in different spaces. In Odda he has created a sound and video installation for one of the plants at the factory that was operational until 2003.
