WORKS IN SITU

Bergen Kjøtt
Skutevikstorget 1, Bergen Map

Opening 11 February 2011 at 19.00
Hours: 12:00–16:00

For this exhibition Kristin Nordhøy draws on her extensive material vocabulary which includes masking tape, reinforcement steel and mass-produced industrial materials. She often uses the line as a tool and repetition as method in her practice. For the larger wall-based works, the artist covers the surface with thin strips of masking tape and explores the relationship between the staging of the works and the physical properties inherent in the matter.

Nordhøy works with a range of materials and modes of expression, which relate to the exhibition space to varying degrees. For the exhibition at Volt, Nordhøy will be make new site-specific works created in situ in the converted factory space at Bergen Kjøtt.
